Endnight Game’s open-world survival horror game The Forest is now on Steam Early Access. Released in an early alpha state, the game already shows a ton of promise. I spent over an hour foraging for supplies, building shelter, finding food, and killing scary native people (but only after they attacked first; I swear!).
The game features some impressive visuals and survival mechanics, and I can’t wait to dive back in and see how long I can survive.
An unforeseen issue surrounding the game’s save data slipped past the devs, though, rendering saves moot; progress will be lost if the game is reset. Thankfully, Endnight has already announced that they’re working on a hotfix!
