Nicholai and HUNK confirmed for Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City

As if the Inserted Evil references weren’t enough, now it’s official: Nicholai and HUNK will both have a presence in Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City. The reveal comes via the game’s official Japanese website, specifically in the “key person” section, where HUNK and Nicholai now join Leon and Claire. The cast is definitely only going to get larger as time goes on, but it’s quite awesome that Mr.Death himself will be in the game.

Both these characters being in the game shouldn’t come as a surprise, though, since they were both present during the events of Resident Evil 2 and 3 to begin with. So, basically, any character from said games are very likely to make an appearance of some capacity in Operation Raccoon City. What isn’t confirmed, though, is if these characters will be playable, but we could at least get some special DLC skins which would let us play as these classic characters. Wouldn’t that be nice?

    I learned from one of the Capcom workers over at NYCC that this game will have Multiplayer Versus with game modes such as Team Deathmatch and Capture the Flag. The modes will still include zombies and stuff like the main game as well. Chances are, HUNK and others will be playable in modes like that.

    I also learned that the game will have a storyline lasting 8-10 hours, so it’s possible that there will be a scenario where you can play as the actual RE characters.

    DarkDream that would a awesome possiblity, its been almost a long time since I played as Nicholai so hopefully he’ll be cool in this one to play as on Multiplayer along with the other characters.

    You guys better by this game cus an earlier post here promised me Barry in the sequel.

    I wonder if it will be mansion part or perhaps new plot wheras what he did in Raccoon while searching for Jill.

    Well better be in a plot atleast even if its non canon so he is not just a playable skin again like in Mercs.

    You are able to see HUNK without his mask in Resident Evil: Outbreak. In order to see him, you need to get a cheat device so that you may unlock the File#3 characters.

    HUNK and Nicolai look oddly similar…
