Confirmed: Ada gets a purely single-player scenario in Resident Evil 6

It’s official: Ada will be getting her own scenario in Resident Evil 6. She won’t be partnered up with anyone, though, because Ms. Wong is nice like that. Oh, and don’t worry, there won’t be any pictures here with my face on Ada’s body, because that’s frowned upon for some reason!

Famitsu just confirmed the news, and they also got some information on the scenario from the game’s executive producer and director, Hiroyuki Kobayashi and Eiichiro Sasaki, respectively. The campaign will be unlocked once all the other three main ones are completed.  And as aforementioned, it’ll be a purely single-player experience (just like I predicted!). What’s cool is that other people playing as Leon or any of the other main characters online can actually run into you playing as Ada online.

As far as story goes, Ada’s scenario will uncover many mysteries surrounding the other three scenarios. So, again, like was the case in Separate Ways, Ada’s scenario will expose us to a lot of the behind-the-scenes stuff that was going on during the main plot. Another neat thing that was revealed is that players will be able to change the functionality of Ada’s bow-gun, with the ability to launch projectile bombs being one example.

Famitsu then revealed a bit more about the game’s Agent Hunt mode, where players will take on the role of the game’s creatures as they chase the human characters around looking to kill them. What’s neat here is that this applies itself to the actual single player game. So you can be playing Jake’s campaign, for example, and one of the enemies you’re facing, the Ustanak perhaps, can be controlled by an actual human online, with other surrounding foes like the J’avo also being human-controlled (those playing as the creatures can communicate with one another via voice-chat, too). This mode will be unlocked once you beat the game once, and you can opt to turn it off if you’d rather not have an even harder time taking on the enemies.

Sounds good. Sounds very damn good.

THAT BITCH DESERVES THE SINGLE PLAYER SCENARIO! :) i just wished that Claire or Jill is in RE6 too.. but.. no.. so T.T

I remember someone saying that Claire died… Guess there is nothing official anyway.

      • ZenTzen

they said claire died mostly as a joke based on chris behavior

      • Honcho

Any word on that Claire spinoff game?

This massive online interaction… I deadly hate capcom, but damn, they got an awesome idea there =O

    • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1382644712 Apolonio Quiosco

Yes, this sounds totally nothing like L4D.

      • http://www.facebook.com/lineker.moraes.9 Lineker Moraes ReaperWindrunne

Said that they got an idea, not that it wasn’t used before =D

Besides, L4D is fairly different, since RE6 will allow you to pick control of a boss and screw with the bitches.

One way or another… I won’t give Capcom my money.

        • katarokinimoto

RE6 lets you control a boss, and the tank would be considered what exactly? I’ll admit if the game assigns players to every enemy in the level and not just bosses/bigger enemies that would be pretty damn cool. Buying it used will stiff them the money while still getting you the game, that’s what I’m doing.

        • ariessiren

sure you will, you always do. you bitch but you secretly give in. get real.

          • http://www.facebook.com/lineker.moraes.9 Lineker Moraes ReaperWindrunne

I don’t buy a single Resident Evil since Outbreak file 1. Call me whatever the hell you want, I couldn’t care less.

      • Swcloud99

It’s different in the sense that Resident Evil 6 is very much a story oriented experience and it’s mixing online components and interactions with a more campaign experience.

        Definitely inspired by L4D though.

  • Benjamin May

It does seem as though Capcom are really doing their best to make this a Resident Evil game to remember.

  • tigerspaw

wow, this sounds like a lot of fun! Awesome online details.
    So pumped for this!

  • Red-Dragon-Cro

    Wow that all sounds incredible

    • sas_the_virtuous

Yeah! Finally a piece of news worth looking forward to!

  • Sherman Hakim

thanks jorge, any news if ada will show her “floating mountains” , on dlc perhaps?

  • ccrogers15

Watch xbox 360 get an exclusive mode THATS ALREADY ON THE DISK and ps3 get nothing.

    • ariessiren

of course they will, MS has the mula to do so.

    • Red-Dragon-Cro

If that happens => Death to M$!!!
      :P

  • Samus Valentine

I wish I could only buy Ada’s part then. THAT was what I was looking for in a RE title- a quality singe-player experience. Not some online-enabled shit. Guess I’ll be getting this one used…

  • Honcho

Yep! Going to give some player a hard time during their campaign! Good news about Ada nonetheless!

  • Tomas Reyes

no doubt this is gonna the best RE game ever

  • Swcloud99

A single player only campaign in a full co-op game? I’m dissapointed. Me and my friend play through the entire game but when we get to the ending, he can’t play it? So what? He just watches me play?
Don’t get me wrong, I’m sure it’s going to be fun but it’s out of place in this game.

    • Guest

Mate, when you’re playing this, no one else will be spectating you play. It’ll just be you by yourself. Btw, not sure if you’re serious or trolling.

      • Swcloud99

Oh no, I’m not trolling at all. I really am disappointed. I don’t know what you mean by spectating but I was talking about splitscreen co-op. That’s usually how I play co-op games or else what’s the point and, like I was saying, we play 80% of the game together but he doesn’t get to play the ending because that campaign is single player only.
If the game supports full-on splitscreen co-op (which it does) then I think it’s out of place to make a part of the game unplayable in this situation.
What I’m saying is: they either make full single-player or full co-op. Half-and-half, I think, is out of place.

  • Xander

Wow. This Agent Hunt sounds awesome. Almost like a “Journey” type thing where random people crash your game without you knowing.

  • Marie

This is great! I was looking forward to seeing my girl Ada having her own campaign!

  • me

Fuck, I was the a-hole that posted the comment about your picture, sorry man, I almost forgot this is a site made by fans for fans, which by default make it better than others, maybe I was in a bad mood, my apologies.

Also, can wait for Ada scenario, at last a true Single player experience.

    • http://www.relyonhorror.com/ Jorge Bocanegra

No worries man. It’s all good! I just miss my Ada hair style from before :( Lol.

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Cory-M-Goldberg/530810818 Cory M. Goldberg

why can’t all of it be like the dead space 3 single player and co-op system?

    • Nick

I agree but im still gonna buy the game lol

      • http://www.facebook.com/lineker.moraes.9 Lineker Moraes ReaperWindrunne

The game looks interesting, kinda an upgrade for that failed RE5 (yeah yeah, I know, sold a lot blablabla, still lame). It may be fun, not going to buy it anyway, going for DS3 =D

        • http://www.facebook.com/people/Cory-M-Goldberg/530810818 Cory M. Goldberg

I may just get it used so my money does not support Cashcom.

    • http://www.facebook.com/lineker.moraes.9 Lineker Moraes ReaperWindrunne

      Easy answer? Capcom suck, basicly.

      • Swcloud99

Never has much has EA though.
