3 new Spec Ops missions hitting Operation Raccoon City next week

Earlier this week, the first Spec Ops mission was released for Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City. And it was completely free. Not just that, but it was of a decent length and provided an actual challenge when playing solo (well, to me, at least). That Nemesis boss battle was great and brutal! Now we have six more missions left that make up the Spec Ops campaign. And the next three are hitting next week.

Echo Six Expansion Pack 1 will see release on April 18, according to a new listing on Sony’s Asian PlayStation site. Here’s the official description for the three missions:

3 tough new Spec Ops  missions. Following intelligence from Jill Valentine, Echo Six elite squad  continue the hunt for the crucial evidence that will prove Umbrella’s guilt in the Raccoon City outbreak.

The chaos that has overtaken the city means a brutal battle for survival. Every squad member must bring their specialist skills to the fight to ensure the mission succeeds.

The missions take you across the city. First to City Hall and deadly USS sniper squads; then to Umbrella’s secret underground facility and a brutal encounter with the Nemesis; finally through the city sewers and a desperate rescue mission and escape from G-Birkin.

Looks like Nemmy isn’t done with Echo Six just yet! And I absolutely can’t wait to see how this new encounter with Birkin plays out. No price was given yet, but…yeah…it’s not free.

Stay tuned for my “review” of the first Spec Ops mission which should be going up over the weekend.
