Resident Evil 7 Season Pass Details Revealed- Price, Size, Titles

We’re so close. So very, very close!

Resident Evil VII: Biohazard released in just a few more days, and while I’m sure we’ll all be sinking our teeth into it for weeks to come until we’ve unlocked every goodie and achievement, it’s worth remembering that there’s still more to come even after the game hits store shelves. Since almost day one, we’ve known that RE7 was going to have additional content in the form of DLC, but we haven’t really known too much about it. It’s price was presumed, but never known for sure, and we had very few details about the four DLC packs (which originally started as only three, but were then added too a few months after the announcement). Well, thanks to PlayStation (who are getting the DLC first, before Xbox and PC), we finally have more concrete details about the first two DLC packs.

Set at $29.99 (although I’m assuming between $10-15 for each individual pack), the season pass will have released all of it’s content by the end of this year, beginning with the Banned Footage 1 and 2 DLC packs. There’s no release date for this as of yet (I’d assume about a month after the main game releases, so let’s keep our eyes open for February), so that should give us plenty of time to speculate what the DLC actually is. Both Banned Footage packs contain two “episodes” and a bonus mode a piece. For Banned Footage 1, these are listed as Nightmare, Bedroom and Ethan Must Die, and for Banned Footage 2, we get 21, Daughters, and Jack’s 55th Birthday. Seeing as RE7 contains no multiplayer component of any kind, I’m excited to see what these things actually are. Safe to assume Ethan Must Die is probably some sort of super hard horde mode, but Jack’s 55th Birthday? What could that possibly be? A cake making simulator set in the Kitchen?

We’ll have to wait just a little longer for information about the other two DLC packs, which are said to be full story chapters, but in the meantime it’s nice to know at least a little about what’s in store for us in the coming months. The PS4 store has also updated the information to include the Season Pass’ size, 20.6GB, which is actually larger than the main game. Wow. Resident Evil VII: Biohazard releases January 24th, just about a week from now, so gird your loins friends! It’s the final stretch!
