I'm a college student with a huge passion for gaming; horror being my favorite genre. I like to write about games in my spare time. When I'm not writing, I'm playing or talking about them. Hopefully this continues into what ever future employment I find myself in.

We once again convene at the start of our podcast journey. Just as before and the time before that, I open the gateway to the listeners of our podcast so that the communication between Gods and mortals can flourish once more.     I love horror games because survival horror is the only game genre centered towards eliciting an emotion from the player. I play Pikmin because it can make me feel guilty, and I play Super Mario Galaxy because the entire thing’s geared towards making me feel tremendously happy- but the names of their respective genres (RTS and 3D platformer) tell me only about their mechanics, and not about what emotions those mechanics bring about. If you could categorize games based on how they make you feel, what game genres would you create and what games would go where?

    if capcom went with the original concept for resident evil 5, the beta version TGS 2007 trailer – do you think it still would’ve been a successful progress for the series as a single player, survival horror game as opposed to resident evil 5 and 6?

    I mean when he was at DJ Rick’s studio, he happens to move his eyebrows …. Waaaaaay too much and then whenever he falls from high above his hair goes whoosh!

    Two questions, if I may.

    1. Any of you guys interested in buying Sleeping Dogs? I totally love the game and am only two trophies away from getting a platinum!

    2. I’m considering buying an XBOX360. I’d like one mainly for Dead Rising 1, Alan Wake, and Deadly Premonition. Plus, that new horror game State of Decay looks pretty cool too! My question is, what other games should I look into? I’m a huge fan of survival horror (obviously) and games with deep emotional storylines. Sorry, Rourke, I’m not a fan of Gears or Halo. ;P

      That’s fine, although both are a lot more emotional than what you’d think from a distance. Both me and my girlfriend cried during Gears of War 3.

        Really? Well then, perhaps I should give them a go. I’ll take you word for it since you seem to have similiar tastes as I. Once I see a great deal for a slim 360, I’ll be sure to pick one up.

          Yeah, Gears 1 is the most streamlined and closest to the “bromance testosterone” thing everyone THINKS Gears is, but it’s hardly worth skipping. They’re all great games, tho- and actually both Halo 1 and Gears 1 are horror games. Although the emotional stuff doesn’t really come into Gears until 2

      I’m in almost the exact opposite situation. I’m on the cusp of owning a PlayStation 3 and I was wondering if the RoH podcast gang could tell me of any good horror games on the PS3. I’ve already ordered Siren – Blood Curse.

        Survival horror games that you can’t find on the 360 include Siren: Blood Curse, House of the Dead, Dead Space Extraction, and the stunning The Last of Us is on the horizon.

    Hello again Whispers Crew :

    (This question is mainly for Rourke so hopefully he is here to answer) Upon listening to some previous pod-casts I here that you have both the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection and Metal Gear Solid 3D. I was just wondering if you could explain the differences (if any) between MGS3 in the HD collection and MGS3 on the 3DS. Thanks if you can answer :)
    Also when SH:Book of Memories comes out, are you going to play it with the Rely on Horror / Hell Descent community? I’m considering getting a Vita and Book Of Memories and would love to play it with you guys :D

    Hi it’s me again, forgot to add something:

    Rourke a few pod-casts ago you mentioned the pharmasutical company S (mentioned in Separate Ways by Ada) after looking through some files form Project Umbrella (a great RE site Rourke you’ll love it) I found out that S and Tricell are actually the same company. S is short for Seashell which was a place holder name for Tricell. Hope this helps :)

    Oh and CJ that SCP link I gave you is for the actual facility one, not the stair simulator.
