Showtime has announced that their hit Victorian horror show, Penny Dreadful, is being adapted into a mobile card game. Penny Dreadful: Demimonde will combine a collectible card game with role playing elements featuring the show’s characters and monsters. Teams can be formed and players can battle against each other with said characters (and monsters). Puzzles and quests from episodes of the show will be available as well.
Is this the type of game we’d really like to see based on the show’s world and characters? Eh. As a fan, I’d like something with a bit more substance but maybe it will be a fu…INSOLENCE I WILL DESTROY YOU YOU PATHETIC WORM FOR I AM THE ACCURSED ONE THE DARK BEAST THAT LIVES IN THE SHADOWS OF YOUR SOUL WAITING TO DEVOUR EVERYTHING THAT YOU ARE!
Uhm. Penny Dreadful: Demimonde is going to be available on the Apple App Store, Google Play Store and Amazon Kindle store later this year. A beta signup page will available on developer Midverse Studios’ website.
