Gamescom 2012: New ZombiU trailer highlights the rules of survival
ZombiU has been garnishing a lot of attention, both due to it’s focus on an open-world perma-death survival zombie-apocalypse foundation and its interesting choice of platform, the Wii U. A new trailer was released today for Gamescon which shows more insight to the rules of the survival in a world taken over by zombies, as well as a more in-depth look into some of the environments and mechanics of the game.
Featuring what looks like heavy science and religious themes to backdrop our survivors, while we don’t know much about the cause of the outbreak or even the tone of story ZombiU is aiming for it certainly does have pretty CG cinematics to go with it. The gameplay also looks much more meaty than the last time we saw it, and initial worries I and some others had to the depth and scope of the game can be put to rest as both the exploration and combat of the game seem more in-depth than we last saw at E3.
