Metro: Last Light now available on Mac

Nearly four months after its initial release on consoles and PC, Metro: Last Light, the sequel to 2010’s Metro 2033, is now available on Mac. Publisher Deep Silver has announced that the game will support Steam Play, meaning that current owners will have access to either the PC or Mac version no matter which version they buy from the service. All future DLC for Last Light will release on Mac as well, with existing DLC already being accessible on Steam. The game will also soon be purchasable from the Apple App Store.

Kyle gave Metro: Last Light a glowing 8.5/10 in his review. I’d have to recommend it highly as well. Quite a good game this one is.

About Metro: Last Light
It Is the Year 2034.

Beneath the ruins of post-apocalyptic Moscow, in the tunnels of the Metro, the remnants of mankind are besieged by deadly threats from outside – and within. Mutants stalk the catacombs beneath the desolate surface, and hunt amidst the poisoned skies above.

But rather than stand united, the station-cities of the Metro are locked in a struggle for the ultimate power, a doomsday device from the military vaults of D6. A civil war is stirring that could wipe humanity from the face of the earth forever.

As Artyom, burdened by guilt but driven by hope, you hold the key to our survival – the last light in our darkest hour…

The plot of Metro: Last Light was written by Dmitry Glukhovsky, acclaimed author of the novel Metro 2033 which inspired the creation of both video games. Glukhovsky personally contributed the vast majority of dialogue in Metro: Last Light. Glukhovsky’s novels “Metro 2033” and “Metro 2034” have sold more than two million copies worldwide. In 2013, his latest book “Metro 2035” will be also available outside of Russia. The film rights for “Metro 2033” were bought by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (MGM), the movie is currently in development.
