Dropsy delayed until Jan/Feb; also coming to tablets

Dropsy developer Jay Tholen recently released a brand new Kickstarter backer update on the upcoming point-and-click adventure title. In the update, Tholen reveals that the game will be seeing a slight delay due to the game’s native resolution being increased from 256 x 144 pixels to 320 x 180, so that it will produce a better visual quality when displayed on high resolution displays. The boost will also widen the game’s FOV, showing more of the background.

The second announcement is that Tholen is looking into bringing Dropsy to the iPad and Android tablets – possibly cellphones as well. Someone tell Tholen the Vita would be great, too!

Dropsy has interested me since its reveal some several months ago. Despite its titular character being quite scary looking, he’s said to be a lovable and kind goof. As for the game’s story and environments, Dropsy is looking to be a creepy little adventure title. I hope to get my hands on it when it’s released.
