Woah, boy. The original Dead Rising is no longer Xbox 360 exclusive. According to a report from VideoGamer, the original game and its sequels will be arriving on current gen consoles and PC (the latter two – Dead Rising 2 and Dead Rising 2: Off The Record are already on PC, though). Strangely, Dead Rising 3 is not making its way to PS4 just yet.
“Capcom will be bringing Dead Rising to Xbox One, PS4 and PC. In addition, Dead Rising 2 and Dead Rising 2: Off the Record will make their way onto Xbox One and PS4. We will have more news to share soon,” said Capcom to VideoGamer.
No release date has been given just yet, but it looks like that trophy posting on Exophase was legit. It’s pretty awesome to see the original Dead Rising receive new life on other platforms. It remains one of my favorite Xbox 360 games to date. I look forward to see what kind of improvements (if any) it receives.
