Dead Rising 3 listed on Blur Studios animator’s resume

Visual Effects company Blur Studios might have just outed the existence of Dead Rising 3. Found on a LinkedIn resume for one of Blur’s animators is cinematic work for the unannounced sequel.

While this is far from a confirmation, I’m sure that we all know how this works. Tiny hints start to seep into the internet and before you know it, boom!; sequel confirmed by evidence before Capcom has a chance to say anything. Dead Rising 3 may or may not be coming, but seeing as how Capcom’s other zombie title didn’t do so well, I wouldn’t be surprised if they started work on getting Dead Rising 3 out of the door.

Blue Castle Games, now Capcom Vancouver, hasn’t revealed any new projects since the release of Dead Rising 2: Off The Record–arguably the better Dead Rising 2 title. Just last summer the studio suffered some layoffs, but they’re still running strong with about 170 employees.

So, since they’ve been so hush since the release of Off The Record, I hope that they’re working on a new Dead Rising project. Personally, I would prefer to see Off The Record become canon. Sorry Chuck, you’re just not as fun. Nor was your game.

    I hope this information is true and is confirmed soon, since I really enjoyed the last 3 Dead Rising titles, and hopefully, Capcom focuses on the series more, it needs more love!

    And also, the listing said something about Bioshock 3, too.

    I wonder why Bioshock 3? Do they mean Infinite? Or do they mean an actual ’3′ set again in Rapture? They did Bioshock 2, so maybe they have to finish at least the Rapture trilogy? Anyway, my favorite series (not counting SH)! So I hope these listings are true!!!!

    i hope franks the main guy. i didnt like chuck, he wasnt bad, just really forgettable. frank has great personality and is charming. glad he was in off the record. much better game with him.
