Dead Island Riptide to debut at PAX Prime

Dead Island Riptide, a follow up but not a sequel to Dead Island, will be debuting at Pax Prime next week. The game is said to playable on the show floor. Not much has been revealed about the title other than Deep Silver’s stance on not calling it a sequel and selling it at launch for a reduced price of $50.

I recently completed the first Dead Island as part of my backlog and I can’t say that I enjoyed it too much. The game is marred by technical and design issues. It’s only saving grace being co-op. I might have not had too much fun with the game but I did see a lot of potential–the combat system for example. Here’s hoping that Riptide improves upon its predecessor in numerous ways.

Ya i got rid of dead island game of the year edition ,after a few play throughs. The multiplayer is confusing as each player can proceed in your missions so you basically just beat the game without knowing anything!

So sad that $50 is a “reduced” price. I never buy games til the price drops to 30 or below.

Personally really enjoyed the Dead Island game. yes it had it’s bugs but I never really thought they were a major problem.

every game now a days has bugs and glitches I enjoyed this game alot and still play it to this day , it needs to improve on character models and animations and story. the worst bug had to be the bug were you lose your weapon when you upgrade it to a new weapon.
