DayZ going standalone

DayZ is an online, open world, zombie mod based on Arma 2. Many claim it to be the zombie survival game that they have always wanted, and now it’s entered development as a standalone product.

Arma developer, Bohemia Interactive, has begun developing the game with mod creator, Dean “Rocket” Hall at the lead. They plan to release it in a manner similar to Minecraft, allowing players to purchase the game at a discount during its early stages.

While I haven’t played the mod myself, I’ve seen enough to understand the hype. I’ll be keeping a close eye on the full game. If you wish to as well, you can follow their development blog for more detailed and upcoming information.

    Seen videos think one was posted her actually looked fun especially if one play with others.
    There is a Zombie mmo in the make too with similar name War Z maybe one should keep an eye on that one too.
    Seen pics on their main site looks pretty cool.
    The mmo gonna have a survival aspec similar to DayZ.
    And survival is the thing I love about Zombie games whacking Zombies one can do in many games but trying to survive a Zombie apacolypse with the little resources one can find it the thing that interest me in games like DayZ etc.
