AMY gets delayed to late fall

AMY was originally planned for a late summer release this year, but now it has been delayed to late fall. This doesn’t really come as that big of a surprise due to the current situation Sony is dealing with in regards to the PSN.

You can read the full announcement, as posted on the game’s Facebook page , below:

“Dear all, we’re really sorry for the PSN outage and we can’t give you a firm day for the network to be back. Thank you all for your understanding. For many reasons, we have decided to postpone the release date of Amy to Fall 2011 in order to launch it properly. Thank you all for your understanding.

“Basically, the outage is not the only reason. We initially wanted to launch the game 3 weeks later than announced but we discussed a lot internally and we don’t want Amy to be released with too many games at the same time on the PSN and we fear that summer might be a bad time, especially in Europe. We’re currently working with Sony on a schedule. We’ll be announcing a few (good) things as soon as we have enough visibility. Thanks a lot for your understanding.”
