Akaneiro Kickstarter Successful
Just hours ago the Kickstarter campaign for Akaneiro: Demon Hunters came to an end. The campaign brought in a total of $204,680, which means it has just barely made the goal.
The past week has been very tense for the fundraiser, as progress was very slow and no amount of interviews or extra reward-tiers seemed to speeds things up. Even after passing the initial goal, fear dominated the Akaneiro chat last night as backers were withdrawing their pledges mere hours before the end. I am glad that 2,681 backers decided to stick around anyway.
The average amount of money per donation comes down to an amazing $76,34, which I think is the highest amount I have ever reported on. One person walked away with the trip to Shangai reward ($10,000) and two with the Japanese Dinner with McGee in San Francisco ($5,000). Let’s hope McGee and his crew can put this cash to good use.
